easy bbq Halibut - Not only is the recipe extremely elegant, it gives you a wonderful “break”, by getting you outside for a little while. This heavenly, BBQ Halibut Recipe, barbequed, with it’s very own marinade, that doubles as a basting sauce!

Ingredients to make Easy BBQ Halibut
1 sm Onion; chopped
1 tb Brown sugar
1/4 c Cider vinegar
2 tb Catsup
2 tb Dry mustard
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1/4 ts Ground cloves
1 ts Chili powder
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
1 1/2 lb Firm, Halibut fillets
Directions to make Easy BBQ Halibut
Step 1:Combine all ingredients, but fish, in a pot, place over medium heat and boil until reduced to a thin syrup. Pour the syrup through a strainer, discard the cooked ingredients in the strainer and chill the syrup.
Step 2:Place fish steaks or fillets in a baking dish and spoon some syrup over. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Step 3:Cook the fish on a hot grill, basting with a teaspoon of barbecue syrup on each side, until fish flakes easily with a fork,

There wasn’t nearly enough sauce to marinate and baste the fish. Sauce tasted good on my finger but was totally lost and non existance on the fish. Might as well have grilled it with nothing on it. Don’t waste your ingredients trying this one…next!
